Dimension of Wellness and Women's Health
A Wellness Way of Life
Wellness is a big buzword these days amongst health professionals. Evreryone wants to live a balanced, happy and healthy life.
Many of you want to know what is the dimension of wellness exactly?
-
Wellness in my opinion is about having a healthy mind,
-
a balanced nutrition to keep your body strong,
-
and an awareness of how to listen to and heed your emotions and keep your intuitive side alive and well.
Kind of a long description I know. A wellness way of life requires a commitment to changing old habits and patterns, be they in thoughts or actions, that keep you from the new you.
When awarness holds you to change, there isn't much you can do but change!
Dimension of Wellness #1 Meditation
"I am interested in wellness and women's health but I don't know how to meditate?" is a question I hear alot from my clients.
I think most women have an olden day, frightening version of monks sitting crossed legged all day in a cave type of meditation. Meditation is a crucial dimension of wellness and women's health. If you find yourself cafaffled and running around all day like a chicken with your head cut off - learn to be still and meditate, it will change your life, like nothing you have ever experienced before. I promise!
Meditation allows you to re-connect with your soul. I read a fabulous quote in "Entering the Castle" a book by Caroline Myss about the real purpose of meditation, she said is"...to empower the life you have, the person you are and the person you could e with the energy of grace that listening to your soul gives you". Beautifully put.
The complaint I hear from most people is that "I just don't have time to meditate." If this is the case with you, and you're the type who would rather meditate at the touch of a button, check out Holosync. You'll be glad you did. You can read my review of the program here.
Dimension of Wellness #2 - A Healthy Body
I put a healthy body second to a healthy mind as the saying goes "as within- so without", meaning your inner beauty will always shine through on the outside. Healthy mind comes first...the rest will follow.
Keeping your body healthy and strong is an important aspect of wellness. You can't have a clear mind either without taking good care of what you put into the your body.
When it comes to nutrition its really simple.
-
Drink plenty of water ( this helps flush your system and clears your mind),
- cut out caffeine, soda's and sugars (so you can experience real energy versus sugar highs and lows),
- and excersise ( burn more calories than you take in on a daily basis).
And if this is hard than you'll need to do some inner work to release emotional patterns that have taken you hostage. Plain and simple. If you are not in the drivers seat, than who is?
Dimnension of Wellness #3 Emotions
If your health is suffering than do something about it. When people have had enough suffering that's when change occurs, not before. I would bet to say that 90% of all women's health issues stem from mental addictions, old thought patterns, unhealthy beliefs.
The good news is that if this dimension of wellness is an issues for you, help exists and its easier than you think. Awareness is the first step, and commitment to change comes next.
